Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hardcourt
A revitalized Medvedev won his maiden trophy for over two years with a win over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a former world number one, has endured a torrid season, achieving just one match at the major tournaments and experiencing a setback at the US Open.
The player's varied form on the professional circuit - and issues with his service game in particular - resulted in him falling of the top ten and eventually splitting with long-time mentor his previous coach.
Presently training with his coach and his other coach, the tennis star has gradually improved in the recent weeks - culminating in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over Frenchman Moutet.
It is the player's maiden title after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface from March of the previous year.
Success also means the Russian has won 21 titles at twenty-one distinct competitions.
"It's the first time I have attended a competition with my two daughters together, so to secure a title is especially meaningful," stated ranked player the champion.
"This championship is in tribute of my child my daughter, because the initial championship I achieved when my child her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had been defeated in his past six championship matches, including in that event previously this season.
The player's defensive strategy and recurring reactions on the tennis court had led commentators to wonder if his ability to compete at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, making an effort to advance forward and play aggressively, backed up by an better serve.
The champion fought back from a deficit in the initial set against the tricky Moutet, winning 4 of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
Both players swapped breaks in the following set before the challenger, attempting for his initial ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to push for a decider.
He saved four initial opportunities in a close deciding set before the Russian secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Suitably, Medvedev secured the win with a rally at the front of the court, with his opponent failing to control a return after a lengthy match.
