An extensive extended cruise through Australia is being halted in the wake of the tragic passing of an older female passenger who was stranded by the cruise liner on a isolated tropical isle.

The passenger had been hiking on the tropical location with fellow passengers from the vessel, but parted ways from the excursion for a rest. The liner sailed away leaving her and returned several hours later after the crew realised the lady was missing.

A large-scale rescue mission discovered her person the next day.

Officials are investigating the tragedy, alongside investigators and the medical examiner.

Chief Executive of the shipping company stated that guests and staff on the Coral Adventurer were told that the continuation of the voyage had been terminated due to the "tragic passing and earlier mechanical issues".

In a statement, he further stated that travelers would be given a full refund, and said the company was working "to arrange the return journeys of the travelers via private aircraft".

Officials also issued an latest communication, and said they had "issued a notice to the Commander" banning any additional guests from entering the liner.
